The New York Landmarks Conservancy
Sep. 11, 2019 12:15 p.m.
Ms. Breen is the President of The New York Landmarks Conservancy, which is based in Manhattan. She will speak about the history of the Conservancy, and how it has selected, and protected, important landmarks in the area throughout the years.
The New York Landmarks Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, revitalizing, and reusing New York’s architecturally significant buildings. Through pragmatic leadership, financial and technical assistance, advocacy, and public education, the Conservancy ensures that New York’s historically and culturally significant buildings, streetscapes, and neighborhoods continue to contribute to New York’s economy, tourism, and quality of life.
The Landmarks Conservancy has succeeded in preserving and protecting New York’s extraordinary historic buildings and neighborhoods through the generosity of our loyal annual donors – people who care about New York as much as we do. We depend on private contributions for almost 75 percent of our annual operating budget, and your contribution allows the Landmarks Conservancy to sustain programs and develop initiatives that address the needs of New York’s historic buildings.

At our 2019 Zone Conference, our director and convener, Jeffry Cadorette is continuing our theme of “People Coming Together” connecting Rotarians and bringing Rotarians from all strata of our Rotary world to build a new future together. Zones 24 and 32 will welcome our new sister districts from New York and Michigan from Zone 29 building a new expanded zone family that we all can be proud of.
In the spirit of inclusion, Zone Conference 2019 will bring together Rotarians - Governors past, present, and future along with club and district leaders from across our zones and beyond. YOU need to be a part of this amazing experience! What a tremendous opportunity to reconnect with classmates, to rub shoulders with current and future Rotary International leaders, to get to know other Rotarians from across Zones 24 and 32 and our new colleagues from Zone 29 who share a passion for service through leadership. YOU need to be a part of this stimulating group of individuals!
Inspiring speakers, empowering facilitators, energizing sessions - addressing the pressing and pivotal issues that are important to the future of Rotary. This Zone Conference will enlighten, educate, and inform. YOU need to be a part of this crucial conversation! All of this will be taking place in two of the most beautiful hotels in Niagara Falls – Sheraton on the Falls and the Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls - Fallsview Hotel. Connected by a walkway, these two hotels both offer world-class accommodations, outstanding restaurants, and most importantly, breath-taking views of both the Canadian and American falls. And, although you can never tire of that view, the Niagara region also offers a multitude of entertainment, adventure and culinary experiences. There truly is something for everyone!
Bring your partner, family, Rotarian friends and colleagues for a conference that promises to be more than a conference. It will be an experience that will inspire and empower you, an experience you will remember for years to come. Coming together. That’s what it’s all about.
